General Information
Buying a Holiday Home Privately
Buying a privately owned holiday home couldn’t be easier. Negotiate a price with the current owner, agree to buy and call into Reception to complete the paperwork. Commission is payable to Riverside by the seller, which is currently 15% of the insurance value. Before you buy a privately owned holiday home, please check out all details about the holiday home with the current owner; age, condition what will be included etc. please be aware that Riverside cannot be held responsible for any problems arising from a private sale and we offer no guarantees.
Plots are guaranteed, but not necessarily the one the holiday home is residing on at the time of purchase. All holiday homes that are moved from plot to plot are chargeable.
Financing Your Holiday Home
As credit brokers we’re able to offer you competitive rates and fast service. You can spread the cost over 36 months or 84 months*, whatever suits you best but please note that we are only able to offer 36 months for some second-hand holiday homes.
Insurance
We are insurance brokers and can offer you competitive rates. Your holiday home must be insured whether by us or your own insurers. If you do not insure with us we will need to see your certificate of insurance. If you do not have insurance, please contact us for a quotation.
The Riverside Season
Riverside is open for 10 months of the year. The season runs
from 1st March until 31st October for those with 8 month agreements and 31st December
for those holding 10 month agreements.
Reception Opening Times
9am to 5pm seven days a week during the open season and reduced
opening hours during the winter months.
Site Fees
Site fees are an annual fee in addition to the cost of your holiday home.
What do I Get for my Site Fees?

- Club membership for 6 people (additional memberships can be
purchased on a daily, weekly or seasonal basis)
- Site security
- Use of swimming pools for all the family
- Entertainment
- Rascal’s Club for small children
- Upkeep of site
- Maintenance staff on call 7 days a week
- Warden on call all night
Park Security
Riverside operates a barrier entry system using encoded cards, available
from Reception for a small refundable deposit. For your added security video recording
surveillance cameras are installed at all key points.
A resident Park Warden is on call at night.
A monitored alarm system is available
to purchase or rent annually for your holiday home to add that extra security.
Conditions, Rules and Site Regulations
The Riverside philosophy is one of a relaxed
atmosphere without a multitude of rules and regulations but in order to ensure that
everyone has a good time in safety, there have to be some - we’ve done our best to
keep these to a minimum. Full details on request.
When purchasing a holiday home,
you agree to our licence conditions set out by the British Holiday & Home Parks Association
(BH&HPA) and the National Caravan Council (NCC). Riverside is a member of both these
organisations.
Smoking is not permitted in any of our holiday homes.
Recycling
Recycling bins are available throughout our park and we encourage their use.
Litter Policy
We do our best to keep the grounds at Riverside clean and tidy. Please put all litter into the many dustbins we have provided throughout the park ... thank you.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome at Riverside but they must be kept on a lead at all times and
owners must clean up after them. Dogs must not become a nuisance to other owners.
