Questions & Answers

To welcome all our new owners who joined us over the Winter break, Sharon has compiled a list of the most common questions she is asked in Reception.

Question:
Do I get free membership to the facilities?
Answer:
Yes, you are entitled to six free membership passes to the club and the
facilities, the six memberships include children from the age of 6—17 years of age.
Question:
Are the memberships transferable?
Answer:
No, a membership has to be cancelled and handed in to the Reception team before a new one can be put in place.
Question:
What if someone loses their membership card?
Answer:
A new card can be produced, there is a cost of £10 to replace it.
Question:
What if I require more than six membership cards?
Answer:
You may purchase daily, weekly or seasonal memberships from Reception, ask for current rates.
Question:
How long will my membership card last?
Answer:
Seasonal will run from the day of purchase until October 31st of the same year.
Owner passes will have to renewed every two years from the date produced.
Question:
When are my site fees due?
Answer:
On purchase, then depending on how you choose from the three options available:-
Yearly = October, must be paid by the 31st October
In two halves = October and April, must be paid by 31st October and by April 31st
Direct Debit:
Monthly over 12 months November—October paid on last day of the month unless it falls on a weekend or Bank Holiday.

Question:
Can I build/erect a patio? Verandah, shed?
Answer:
You will need permission from the management for any of the above, please submit your plans on paper for perusal. Sheds cannot be wood, veranda dimensions must be no larger than 1.3 walkway and 2 metres seating area. Sheds maximum 6 x 4 (chalets will vary).

Question:
Can I bring my dog on site?
Answer:
Dogs are welcome, however, they must be kept on a leash at all times, and you must clean up after them. Please do not leave your dogs alone in your caravan for long periods of time as barking can cause other owners and holidaymakers to be disturbed.

Question:
Where can I park my car?
Answer:
You may park your car door side of your caravan, in inclement weather you must park off of the grass, any damage caused by your car when parked on boggy areas may incur a charge to put right. There is a £25 tow off charge if you need to be pulled off of the grass. You must remove your car/motorbikes/jet ski at the end of the season. Riverside staff need to have the freedom to access ALL areas around the site during the closed season.

Question:
Who is responsible for cutting the grass?
Answer:
Riverside Staff will cut all areas apart from 18 inches around your caravan base, you must keep this area tidy and free of weeds etc.

Question:
Are trampolines and BBQ’s allowed?
Answer:
Trampolines must be tethered and must be removed at the end of the season. BBQ’s must be attended at all times and make sure they are extinguished at the end of cooking.

Question:
Who is responsible for cleaning the outside of my caravan?
Answer:
You must keep the exterior of your caravan clean at all times, should you wish this to be done by one of our contractors, please contact us for the phone number.

Question:
Do I have to insure my caravan?
Answer:
Yes, all caravans MUST be insured. You will automatically be sent a quote for your caravan based on a new for old policy. If you purchased your caravan from our sales team and you take out your insurance with us and pay your site fee invoices when due, you will qualify for a discount off of your site fees. Failure to comply with all three of this criteria will result in the loss of this loyalty discount. You may if you wish take out your own insurance (you will not qualify for the discount) and you must make sure that Riverside are given an up to date copy.

Question:
Can I take a buggy or wheelchair into the Ballroom?
Answer:
Due to fire and trip risks, buggies are not allowed into the Ballroom in busy periods or as dictated by Security staff and must be left in the foyer at your own risk. Car seats are allowed, wheelchairs are allowed.

Question:
How do I get through the barrier at the front gate?
Answer:
Cards can be purchased from Reception and are currently £10 per card. Please make sure you keep this in your car at all times and issue your guests with a card. Failure to do so can lead to long waiting periods at the front gate which in turn can lead to a build up of traffic causing serious risks to those using the A29 dual carriageway. Also, after office hours there will not necessarily be staff available to answer calls from the front gate.

Can I receive mail at this address?
Answer:
No
